Our Story

Mountain View Community Church began with a desire to see a church birthed that would make a genuine difference in the hearts of people throughout northern Colorado.

There was also a desire to see a church that would be a strong sending church as well as one that would see many other churches planted from it. From the beginning, Mountain View Community Church was planted with the desire to be committed to reaching Colorado State University through developing a college ministry serving CSU. The journey began when Tom and Dawn Harcus packed up all their belongings into a U-Haul truck, full of faith and vision, and moved to Fort Collins. Their first night in town they began to reach out to the hotel workers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Mountain View was birthed.
