Vision for Residency
The Mountain View Community Church Residency is a program designed to raise up the next generation of leaders to be equipped for a lifetime of fruitful, gospel-centered ministry in God’s kingdom. This program is one of the only church residency programs in Northern Colorado, offering residents an ideal location to be trained and equipped.
The vision of MVCC is to be a multiplying church that reaches the city of Fort Collins, CO, and impacts the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are praying in faith that God would allow us to do two specific things in the years to come:
- Raise up teams of leaders in every middle school, high school, and college dorm in Fort Collins.
- Send out 10 church plant teams into new communities over the course of the next decade.
We believe that the MVCC Residents will play an integral role in the church seeing this vision come to fruition. Not only will they help the church work to this end, but we also desire to equip the residents to be leaders who impact the world for Christ, whether they pursue full-time ministry, help plant a church, or glorify the Lord in the marketplace.
Resident Roles and Responsibilities
Mountain View currently has three residency positions available. About 80 perfect of their week will be within their context of ministry, pursuing those who do not yet have a relationship with Christ and discipling others in their walk with Christ. The other 20 percent of their week will be dedicated to individual development, much of which will take place in a classroom setting. Each resident will be equipped and trained in Bible knowledge, theology, counseling, practical ministry, and character development.
Student Ministries Resident
Equipping the next generation of believers with truth of the Gospel is one of the pillars of Mountain View. We have Middle School, High School, and College Residents who meet with students on a regular basis and help them grow into who God made them to be.
Our Worship Residency exists to develop future worship leaders in their practical worship leading skills to flourish praise among the people of God. There is no better way to learn the practical aspects of musicianship, shepherding leadership, service planning, and christian artistry, than in an intensive environment that gives opportunity and oversight.
Church Planting Resident
We want to see churches planted over the next 10 years that proclaim the name of Jesus! Whether that’s in Colorado or beyond, we believe that the Lord has called us to train and encourage church planters. If you feel called to plant a church with Mountain View, our residency program may be a perfect fit for you!
