Hi friends! I’m Erin Ellis and I am currently serving with Global Education Ministries (GEM) as a missionary teacher at Manantial school in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Over the past few years, I have felt the Lord calling me to Puerto, so I am so excited to be able to partner with GEM and their mission to share the Good News through gospel-saturated schools like Manantial. As a GEM missionary teacher, not only am I able to give my students an education, but I will also be able to share the gospel every day with my students through Bible classes as well as through gospel-woven instruction.
More About Mexico
- Puerto Escondido is on the southern coast of Mexico in the state of Oaxaca.
- I will be teaching preschool and have about 15 students.
- GEM’s vision is to share the gospel through quality education.
- Manantial is a Gospel Saturated School. A Gospel Saturated School is a place where students encounter the truth of Jesus in the classroom but also experience the grace and love of Jesus throughout the entire school.
How to Pray
- Pray that the Lord equips and leads me as I step into this role.
- Pray for the people of Puerto Escondido and that their hearts would be softened and they come to know Jesus.
- Pray for deep community and friendships as I transition out of Mountain View and Fort Collins.
