Fathers in the Field

At Mountain View Community Church, we believe that boys need a relationship with a father to help them develop life skills and grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. A Mentor Father can fill a void in a fatherless boy’s life that will impact him for eternity. We are accountable to God for the boys in our care and we take this responsibility very seriously. That’s why we’ve partnered with the ministry, Fathers in the Field.

Mountain View currently has 6 mentor fathers and 11 Church Champions to care for fatherless boys in Northern Colorado. Their goal is to demonstrate to these boys that they have a Father in Heaven who created, loves and cares for them, and will never forsake them. This looks like intentional time together ranging from service projects to ice cream outings to fishing trips. We have a tangible need in our community and church body and would love for you to be a part of this ministry!

SUMMER 2026 MENTORSHIP

Virtue vs. Vice is a three-month summer mentorship experience for boys ages 8–18, sponsored by Fathers in the Field, designed to help shape Real Young Men through intentional guidance and meaningful connection. Each participant is paired with a carefully vetted, background-checked Valiant Mentor who meets with them four times per month—serving together in one service project, engaging in one fun, skill-building activity, and participating in two character development sessions focused on formative content and memorized sayings. Learn more about the Summer 2026 Mentorship program and apply for Virtue vs. Vice below.

Mountain View will also partner with Fathers in the Field and Serve 6.8 on two Serve Days this Summer. Click the link below to sign up!
