Arise Rwanda
Arise Rwanda Ministries is dedicated to the Boneza, Rwanda community. In Rwanda, we believe that the most effective way to build sustainability and prosperity is to focus holistically on individual communities through education, clean water, healthcare, Pastoral care, and community development. Since 2011, we’ve focused our efforts and resources on the community of Boneza in the Western Province of Rwanda. Located on the shores of Lake Kivu, the local population is approximately 30,000. Boneza’s villagers are primarily agrarian, tending their personal gardens for their family food as well as larger plots of tea, coffee, bananas, and potatoes for trade. This beautiful region is rich in human resources but underdeveloped in the areas of education, clean water, economic development, and essential infrastructure. We work with community leaders in identifying priorities to build hope, health, and sustainable progress for the people of Boneza.
Arise Rwanda Ministries mission is to positively transform the community of Boneza out of extreme poverty by focusing on education, clean water, healthcare, Pastoral care, and economic development. Our Pastoral Outreach program equips, encourages, and empowers local leaders by providing Biblical conferences and classes and economic support through micro-loans and business training. Arise Rwanda continues to increase Pastoral care efforts through social services outreach to families and children. Our method is to develop ongoing relationships with pastors and community leaders, to facilitate conferences, outreach and training for local pastors and community leaders, to provide strong leadership through strategic planning and mentorship to local pastors and community leaders and to recruit young men and women from Kivu Hills Academy and the local churches to be a part of a mentorship program that will equip and train them to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Mountain View Community Church partners with Arise Rwanda Ministries by supporting Pastor conferences, Bible and leadership training, team mentorship, Pastoral growth and accountability and community crusades and outreach. Through MVCC efforts, Arise Rwanda loves, cares and serves 40 Boneza Pastors and over 60 Boneza churches. Over the past five years, Pastors have collaborated to leverage Kingdom opportunities that have grown churches, increased baptisms and benefited the community through Gospel proclamation.
