The Resurrection Challenge

“Why do you seek the living One among the dead?  He is not here, but He has risen!” – Luke 24:5-6

Over this past weekend – we celebrated the glorious wonder of the resurrection of Jesus together.  I presented a challenge for our church family that if this incredible truth is of “First Importance” – then it is not just for Easter but for everyday.  So everyday before you get out of bed, renew your mind with the truth that He is Risen and ask yourself what difference that will make for the day that awaits.  My challenge was to do this everyday for the next two weeks and see the difference that this truth makes in our daily lives.  It is life changing to understand that the same power that rose Christ from the grave is the same power that works in and through our lives as believers.  (Eph. 1:18-23).  

So I ask you how this challenge is going?  What difference does it make for you to enter into your day knowing God is alive, at work, and with great power accomplishing what concerns you for His glory?  That reality definately changes my perspective about my day.  It helps me to walk in faith trusting God for the power to work in and through my life.  It gives me a confidence that He is there and that He has everything in Him that I need for this given day.

We are more than conquerers in Christ.  We are victorious in Christ and what He has done!  Let’s live out the resurrection power in our lives on a daily basis!!!  Please keep us posted on the difference this perspective is having on your daily life.  Consider reading the book of Acts as a follow up to Easter.  Look to see how the power that rose Christ from the dead continues to enable God’s children to live great lives of faith in the Spirit!  He is alive…now let’s live like we truly believe that!!
