  • Thinking Through “Sanctity of Life” Issues

This weekend we asked the question, “Do some issues matter more than others?” when it comes to evaluating the political platforms we support. We answered this question with a “Yes”, because while many issues have moral implications, the manner in which government should be involved in those issues may not be clear, leaving room for Christians to differ passionately in their views and stances. But some issues are clear biblically, binding the Christian conscience. It was proposed that issues pertaining to the sanctity of human life are in this category. Here are a few resources to both encourage you, and challenge your thinking as you begin to pray for God to lead your engagement in this election season.

One of the ways a pro-life ethic is being challenged outside of the topic of abortion is the emerging issue of doctor assisted suicide. Currently legal in five states, the legalization of this is now on the ballot for the state of Colorado. Here is a helpful article from this past year that will begin to stir your thoughts on this issue –
