  • Ep. 6 – Love Redeemed

In this week’s episode, Hannah and Pastor Aaron LeDuc are joined by Kim Martin as they talk about Aaron’s recent sermon “Love Redeemed” for the third week of Advent (found here).

    – Recap of the sermon from Aaron.
    – Let’s talk a little bit about the genealogy in Matthew. I don’t think I’ve ever realized that David is literally the only one that’s mentioned “by the wife of Uriah” to almost call out his sin. Why do you think Matthew did that? Did it have anything to do with the fact that David was a man after God’s own heart and it shows that everyone in this genealogy was imperfect yet our Savior came from that line?
-How would the two of you define Godly love? What are the first things that come to your mind when you picture the love of God?
-Let’s talk about love and boundaries. I feel like our culture is big on self care and boundaries when it comes to loving other people, but Aaron’s point of “God’s love is tangible” in my mind is a call to love our neighbor because we never deserve the love of God. As Christians, should there be boundaries on how we love people? Or does God call us to love abundantly?
-Love and Advent – how are you two reflecting on love this Advent season? Anything you’re learning you want to share?
