  • Kingdom Stories: Parables in Luke – The Prodigal Sons

This week on the podcast, Haley sits down with Aaron LeDuc and Kim Martin to dive back into our most recent sermon from Kingdom Stories: Parables in Luke. This week, we have a conversation about one of the most well known parables – The Prodigal Son (or as Aaron preached, The Prodigal Sons) from Luke 15:11-32. You can listen to the sermon HERE.

    1. As you’ve walked with Jesus, which brother do you find yourself relating to more, the younger brother or the older brother— or do you see a mix of both?
    2. The father runs to meet his son — totally undignified, totally gracious. Why do you think we still struggle to believe that God responds to us like that?
    3. Repentance isn’t just saying “sorry,” it’s turning around and coming home. In your experience, what does repentance look like beyond just words? How have you seen that kind of heart change play out in your daily life and practice?
    4. The older brother’s story hits close to home for those of us working at a church or really anyone serving in ministry. How can we tell when our moral goodness and obedience has slipped into self-righteousness?
