Providence Remembered
In this week’s episode, Haley is joined by Aaron LeDuc and Dave Young to discuss the end of our Esther Series, going over Aaron’s latest sermon “Providence Remembered” on Esther 9:10-10:3. Listen HERE!
- Show Notes:
- Is it easy for you to see evidence of God’s fingerprints in your current season—even in the mundane, or are you tempted to see life events as random rather than providential? What do you hope people would see about Jesus when they look at how you handle uncertainty or suffering now?
- What would it look like practically to make remembering-God’s mercy and what we have been saved from-a regular rhythm in your week, month, or year—thinking beyond the typical Christian ways like Easter and Christmas holidays (or even Communion)? How could “obligating ourselves” to rhythms of remembrance actually be life-giving?
- Aaron, asked in his sermon, “Has your comfort made you forget what God rescued you from?” and compared Fort Collins to the Shire—which I think was pretty spot on. As parents, I think Fort Collins can feel like the Shire for our kids, too—safe and comfortable. How do you both help them long for God’s kingdom and not just settle for the comfort around them?
- As we wrap up the whole Hidden Providence series on Esther, have there been any major breakthroughs or takeaways for either of you personally? And how do we hope this series will shape us as a church as we head into a new season of ministries kicking off?
