  • Kingdom Stories: Parables in Luke – The Ten Minas

This week on the podcast, Haley is joined by Aaron LeDuc and Josh Elgard to have a conversation on our most recent sermon from Kingdom Stories: Parables in Luke on The Ten Minas from Luke 19:11-27. You can listen to that sermon HERE!

    • As you prepared to teach on the Ten Minas, what part of the parable personally struck you or challenged you the most?
    • When you think about stewardship, what does that “investment” realistically look like in your own everyday life, beyond church roles or spiritual gifts? How do we balance the tension between God calling us to invest faithfully and the pressure we sometimes feel to produce impressive results?
    • At the core, the servant who hid away his mina was driven by fear. What kinds of fears do you personally relate to that make it hard to step into faithful obedience?
    • How should we understand the warning of the servant who “rejected the king” today? Have you ever seen someone, or maybe even yourself at some point, resist God’s call in a way that felt small at the time but had bigger consequences later?
    • As we live in the tension of Advent, between Christ’s first coming and His return, how does this parable shape the way we wait, watch, and live with purpose right now?
